Building a Brand with Meaning

Cassel Bear worked with Gervasi to name the restaurant, landing on Olinda in honor of family matriarch Linda Swaldo. Meaning “Oh, Beautiful,” the name speaks to both the look of the space and the welcome guests experience when they arrive. From the outset, Olinda was planned as a contemporary place to eat and drink that still feels closely tied to the family story behind it.

A Cohesive Visual Story

The visual direction started with a logo that reflects Olinda’s clean, contemporary feel. From there, we chose a color palette and type families that stay consistent wherever the brand shows up. We pulled in existing photography where it added context and warmth so the brand feels rich and authentic. Together, these details create a look that is modern, welcoming, and easy to recognize.

A Voice as Refined as the Experience

To give Olinda a strong verbal identity, we created a distinctive voice that aligns with the brand story. This informed all foundational messaging. The description line, Modern Plates & Pours, captures Olinda’s culinary excellence. The tagline, All In Good Taste, is a nod to togetherness, flavor and style. We also built messaging frameworks to guide future storytelling, ensuring consistency and clarity as the brand grows.

Extending the Brand Online

We carried Olinda’s identity into the digital space with a set of branded graphics for web and social use. These assets help the restaurant show up the same way online that it does in person, from a guest’s first encounter to the moment they sit down at the table. Through consistent visuals and clear messaging, Olinda maintains a steady, recognizable presence wherever guests engage with the brand.
