When brothers Mose and John Keim opened their lumber mill in Charm, Ohio, in 1911, they wanted to provide good service and a quality product for their friends and neighbors. They could not have foreseen the astonishing business growth a century of hard work, dedication, and honesty would bring.
During our recent rebranding and website redesign, the Cassel Bear team listened first and then provided thoughtful creative guidance... We wanted to maintain our strong reputation amongst current customers, built on years of trust, while also signaling a welcome to a new type of customer. This was no small task but Cassel Bear delivered in a major way.

Throughout four generations of Keim family leadership, the emphasis on community and customer relationships remained central to the Keim Lumber brand. But decades of facility and product expansion, as well as the selection of the first non-family member to serve as Keim president in 2019, required substantial operational shifts and development. With all these changes, Keim wanted people to know them not only as a trusted lumber company and hardware store, but also as an organization dedicated to leading and inspiring others to fulfill their dreams and goals.

A key part of Keim’s rebrand included a new website that blends Keim’s authentic story and history; its devotion to customers, employees, and community; and its modern identity as a major provider of specialty woods and home improvement retailer.
