Summary

Cassel Bear is growing, and we’re adding a data-minded Digital Marketing Specialist to help us scale our digital marketing services while raising the bar on strategy, content quality, and performance.

This role is not a generalist or entry-level execution role. We’re looking for someone who can turn ideas into numbers, numbers into insight, and insight into action — especially through stronger website content, smarter keyword strategy, and clearer performance reporting.

You’ll work closely with our existing Digital Marketing team, complementing a more technical SEO role by leaning into content optimization, data analysis, conversion-focused strategy, and reporting. This position plays an important role in helping our team manage a growing workload and freeing senior leadership to focus on business development and client growth.

What You’ll Do

Content & Conversion Strategy

  • Write and optimize website content and ad copy with a focus on clarity, relevance, and conversion
  • Expand and strengthen existing client content (often doubling depth and usefulness)
  • Identify content gaps, missing keywords, and underperforming pages
  • Treat keyword research like a puzzle (organizing, prioritizing, and aligning it to business goals)

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze performance data across websites, ads, and platforms to identify trends and next steps
  • Build and maintain spreadsheets to organize keywords, content plans, budgets, and reporting
  • Develop clear, client-ready insights from data (not just dashboards)
  • Support reporting initiatives for both Cassel Bear and clients, including Google, HubSpot, and Looker-style reports

Digital Advertising & Platforms

  • Support Google Ads accounts (directional knowledge required; expert-level not necessary)
  • Monitor monthly performance, flag issues, and recommend optimizations
  • Work confidently inside HubSpot at a professional suite level, including reporting and CRM alignment
  • Bridge the gap between marketing and sales by helping teams understand what’s working and why

Strategy, Organization & Client Support

  • Ask the right questions and clearly define next steps
  • Prioritize tasks across recurring monthly work and last-minute research needs
  • Balance budgets, investment, and performance goals
  • Troubleshoot issues and communicate clearly with teammates and clients
  • Occasionally be client-facing (walkthroughs, demos, reporting explanations)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in the marketing or advertising industry
  • Submit examples of past campaign successes
  • Submit examples of digital marketing reports
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, English or equivalent experience.
  • Deep understanding of SEO practices
  • Experience in various CRM platforms (Hubspot, Keap, SharpSpring, MailChimp, etc)
  • HubSpot experience (professional suite level)
  • Experience in various web CMS platforms (WordPress, Drupal, Squarespace, etc)
  • Personal task management
  • Efficient in building process, and reporting
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong writing skills for digital content and advertising
  • Data analysis experience in a marketing context
  • Google Ads expertise (troubleshooting and optimization awareness)
  • Experience working with or building structured data (spreadsheets, categorization, reporting)
  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently

Extra Credit

  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud
  • UX/UI experience, especially in website design (desktop and mobile)
  • Experience with collaborative design tools like Figma
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience with eCommerce platforms (WooCommerce or Shopify)
  • WordPress experience
  • AI tools or workflows used in marketing or content development
  • Influencer or social media performance analysis experience
